Emilia Romagna is one of the 20 regions of Italy. It is located in the northern side of Italy with Bologna as its capital city. Bologna is the third richest Italian city and is the dividing line between 2 historic areas, Emilia and Romagna.
To the east of Emilia Romagna is the Adriatic Sea and the Po River is to its north. If you look south, you will see the magnificent Apennine Mountain Range which is famous for its marble, said to be the finest in the world.

A few years ago, there was this sparkling wine that rocked the world with its delicate semi sweetness, the Albana Spumante. Another popular white wine is Trebbiano di Romagna which is a light bubbly wine. The Sangiovese red wine though is considered the king all Romagna wines with its rich fruity flavor.
