There are a stunning number of restaurants catering to the foodies who visit and these are too numerous to visit in ten trips, let alone one.

Winter sports are another attraction in Piedmont, Italy. There are a large number of ski resorts in the region that cater to skiers from all over the world. The mountains in the area, Monte Rosa and Gran Paradiso make it a beautiful place to visit for the scenery alone. Mont Blanc is a must see spot for many tourists as well. It offers some amazing views and you can take a cable car from this area over the border into France.

The first national park in Italy is located in Piedmont. The Parco Nazionale del Gran Paradiso is a beautiful part of the region which nature lovers are sure to enjoy. Here you will find some of the species of flowers that are natural to the area including the Alpine flower.

The region is also home to world famous truffles that attract the attention of food lovers from all over the globe. The fall is a wonderful time to travel to Piedmont to take in the wine and mushroom festivals that occur in all the towns of the region.
